Abstract
Nanotechnology offers a lot of potential for wastewater treatment in today's world, and it's a lot better than the technologies that are now accessible. The use of nanomaterials to treat wastewater is a relatively new method of lowering costs and removing heavy metals. The fields of nano-biotechnology and nanotechnology for wastewater treatment are both undergoing intensive research. Nanoparticles are made up of a variety of tactics, including ultrafiltration membranes, osmosis, sorption, nanofiltration degradation, enhanced oxidation techniques, and nanomaterial disinfection. Nanoparticles can remove contaminants from wastewater, but their efficiency is determined on the nanomaterial's, contaminant's, and wastewater's physical and chemical qualities. In this chapter, we discuss recent advances in the treatment of water and wastewater using nanotechnology.
