Abstract
A vast array of currently being developed nanoscale innovations fall under the umbrella of the growing discipline of nanomaterials. Particularly for new applications, these materials' distinctively amendable size-dependent properties (above 1-100 nm) make them a good choice. Nanomaterials have been created using a variety of physical, chemical, and biological processes. Nanomaterial formations from various materials are defined differently based on the characteristics of raw materials and synthesized products in order to understand their structural, morphological, and physicochemical aspects. It has gained significant attention in the electronics, magnetics, optics, automotive, healthcare, aerospace, and biomedicine industries. It also has a lot of potential for use in a wide range of cutting-edge industrial and environmental applications. This chapter gives a thorough summary of nanomaterials, their sources, and their classification. In addition, the synthesis method, characterization, and application of nanomaterials are discussed.
