Abstract
The problems raised due to environmental pollution have become an important issue into day's world. The pollutants involved may be toxic chemicals, includes air, water and soil pollution, where the applications of Nanotechnology offers an advantage to improve the existing environmental technologies and create a new technology that is better than current technology. Due to its large surface area and high surface energy the nanoparticles have the ability to offer a remedies for threatening environmental pollutants and technology to deal with those pollutants Various techniques and approaches such as Nanofiltration, Photocatalytic disinfection, Nanotechnology for adsorption of toxic gases etc had been an effective approach to deal with harmful environmental pollutants. This chapter deals with different nano techniques applied to control pollution.
Keywords
Nanotechnology, Nanofiltration, Environmental pollutants, Photocatalytic disinfection, Adsorption of toxic gases
