Abstract
This study investigates the application of nanomaterials in addressing the escalating challenge of airborne particulate pollution, a significant environmental and public health concern. The paper outlines the prevalence of airborne particulates, emphasizing the urgent need for more effective pollution control methods. Nanomaterials are introduced as a promising solution due to their unique properties at the nanoscale. The research focuses on the mechanisms by which nanomaterials interact with and mitigate airborne particulates, including an in-depth analysis of nano-enhanced filtration systems and underlying chemical processes for pollutant degradation. The study provides evidence of the effectiveness of nanomaterials through case studies and experiments, highlighting practical challenges in implementation. It also addresses environmental implications, safety concerns, potential risks, and regulatory frameworks governing nanomaterials. Looking ahead, the study explores emerging trends in nanomaterial research and interdisciplinary collaborations to enhance pollution control strategies. The conclusion emphasizes the significant role of nanomaterials in future pollution control efforts, emphasizing the need for ongoing research and development in this field. The comprehensive approach aims to provide a nuanced understanding of how nanomaterials can contribute to solving the critical issue of airborne particulate pollution.
