Abstract
Nanotechnology is a vast field that goes in hand with the capacity to produce materials at the nanoscale. These materials are also termed nanomaterials that have many magnificent features. There are multiple utilizations in the area of nanotechnology enabling being used as safety in automobiles, in food technology as well as in packaging of food. Nevertheless, it plays a pivotal role in the field of medicine and pharmacology, in connection with different drug delivery systems, gene therapy, also its own role in genetic engineering and tissue engineering. They have greatly defined features that aids in multiple benefits however also possess flaws on health impacts. This could thereby lead to risks of nanomaterials with regard to human health broadly classified into acute and chronic disease interfering with risk aspects of abode. The health collision due to nanomaterials occurs to proximity of such nanomaterials on the human body through the skin, altimetry passage, lungs because of the respiration process and thereby its exposure to the outside habitat allowing the passage of nanomaterials into the human system. Studies have shown the increase in dosages lead to many tremendous perilous effects to not only the plant but also the surroundings. When these nanomaterials especially when inspired could result in many cardiac, respiratory disorders as well as affect many inflammatory responses and systems. An animal study showed that the increased level of nanoparticles went hand in hand with the risk of inflammatory diseases. Conclusion to remedial solutions in order to reduce the health and environmental complications are still being worked upon, however, certain standard protocols are listed by governing bodies like WHO that could be adopted in order to stop or reduce the health hazards and environmental impact of nanomaterials. This chapter will discuss more in-depth with different risk that is caused due to the impact of nanomaterials on the environment as well as its hazards.
